We are thrilled to announce the completion of a vibrant new landmark for our Wood Street Collection development in Wakefield: the large-scale mural at the end of Bond Terrace. Created by the renowned urban artist Ralph Replete, this striking piece is more than just a work of art; it’s a celebration of space, a new focal point for the community, and a confident statement about the area’s creative future.
Inspired by the balance of geometry and architecture, the mural’s bold, colourful pattern creates a fresh sense of depth and perspective, inviting everyone to pause, re-look, and reconsider their environment. Its angular forms create a refreshing visual dialogue with the traditional architecture of the nearby courthouse, allowing old and new to exist seamlessly. The design subtly suggests a sense of balance, classic and contemporary, city and country, reflecting the rich, blended lifestyle that makes Wakefield such a unique place to call home.
Positioned at the head of Bond Terrace, the mural acts as a modern doorway into a new yard, echoing the historic ginnels and community courtyards that are so integral to Wakefield’s character. It’s a piece designed to bring people together and contribute to the life of the street.
