The Groucho Club Comes to Bretton Hall
In a milestone moment for Yorkshire’s cultural landscape, we were thrilled to announce that The Groucho Club will open its first permanent home outside of London, right here at Bretton Hall. This marks a pivotal point in the amazing journey to restore this cultural and historic gem, which will be reborn as Groucho Bretton.
This is a vision forged in partnership. Working alongside the brilliant teams at Artfarm and Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the ingredients are in place to create what we believe will be a truly significant destination, not just for the region, but for the nation.
Bretton Hall holds a special place in the heart of our region’s cultural heritage. Nestled within the unparalleled setting of Yorkshire Sculpture Park, it is a landmark site steeped in history. For decades, as the much-loved Bretton Hall College, it was a vibrant hub for artists, musicians, and performers, fostering an atmosphere of innovation and expression that left a lasting imprint on West Yorkshire. It is heartening to know that this special place will once again be alive with that same spirit of creativity.
The unveiling of Groucho Bretton is planned for 2026, a year that poignantly marks Rushbond’s 40th anniversary. This endeavour is a perfect reflection of our long-term commitment to cherishing and sustaining historic sites. By reimagining this iconic landmark, we can ensure its creative legacy continues for generations to come.
Our shared goal is to preserve this precious heritage while fostering innovation, creating an exceptional hub where creativity and friendship can flourish and helping to strengthen Yorkshire’s status as a leading cultural destination in the UK and beyond.
