Elmete Hall: Where Historic Grandeur Meets Contemporary Business
As one of the finest historic country houses in Leeds, Elmete Hall is a landmark of distinction.
Built in the mid-19th century in a grand Italianate style, this Grade II listed building and former home of the Kitson family enjoys spectacular views over the city. We saw the opportunity to create an exemplar business destination, a place where the elegance of the past could be seamlessly blended with bold contemporary design to create an office environment unlike any other.
An Exemplar of Old and New
Our vision was to create a first-class office destination by honouring the hall’s heritage while adding a new layer of modern functionality.
Restoring a Masterpiece: We undertook a meticulous restoration of the historic hall, preserving its unique character and placing its superb ‘peacock’ cupola as the celebrated centrepiece of the project.
Contemporary Counterparts: Adjacent to the historic hall, we designed and built two new contemporary additions, creating a dialogue between the old and the new.
A Premier Office Destination: The result of this considered approach is a 2,000 sqm, high-quality office development that provides an exceptional working environment rich with character and history.
Today, Elmete Hall stands as a testament to our vision for creative and sensitive regeneration.
It is an exemplar scheme that successfully marries the grandeur of a historic country house with the demands of a modern workplace, creating a truly distinctive and inspiring setting for business to flourish.
