In partnership with Advent Developments, we saw a rare opportunity to give this landmark a new purpose. Our vision was to create an impressive new residential neighbourhood around it, a place that would honour the character of the past while embracing the very best of contemporary, sustainable design.
A Blend of Heritage and Contemporary Design
The project was a careful exercise in allowing old and new to exist seamlessly together, creating a neighbourhood with a truly distinctive character.
Sensitive School Conversion: We sensitively restored the former Victorian school, transforming it into a collection of unique townhouses that celebrate their original architectural features.
Architect-Designed Eco-Homes: Complementing the historic centrepiece, we crafted a series of architect-designed, contemporary eco-homes, adding a modern feel that enhances the unique sense of place.
An Award-Winning Community: The quality of this vision and its execution was recognised when Bootham Green won the prestigious RICS Pro Yorkshire Award for the residential category.
Completed in 2014, Bootham Green was a remarkable success, with all 39 homes sold prior to completion.
